Wow, it's been a while. Sorry for that. :-S

Rylie's POV

I head directly back toward my apartment after leaving the arena, knowing that I have limited time because he will be out of practice soon. I don't think he would try to stop me after bailing on me this morning, but it is definitely not a risk I want to take.

I make a quick round through my apartment, getting only the things I deem necessary, knowing that I'll only be able to fit the necessities in the back seat and trunk of my 350Z.

Going into the bathroom to grab the things I'll need out of there, I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and am almost horrified at what I see. Dark, puffy circles now appear under my eyes, the result of months now without proper sleep. My hair is tossed up into a messy bun like it has been for as long as I can remember now, not really feeling like fixing it like I normally would have before. Matching that perfectly is the lifeless look on my face, due to the fact that I have no make up on, a feat I would have never done before either.

Practically running out the front door, I stop and drop all the stuff in my hands, going back and grabbing for the spare key I know only a few people know is hidden there.

Throwing all of my stuff into my car and taking off, I realize that this little vacation is exactly what I need to find myself again, to get back to doing things he way I was accustomed to before all shit hit the fan.

As soon as I get out of the city and onto open road, I grab a CD and put it in, needing something to fill the silence in the car. As soon as the music starts playing, I almost regret the idea all together as sounds from his favorite band fill the car. Sighing in frustration, I press the eject button and do the first thing that comes to mind. I toss the CD out the window, loving how even a small thing like that can relieve so much pressure, making me smile as I continue my peaceful trip.

Max's POV

All practice long, I can barely focus. The only thing that is going through my mind is 'Please, don't do anything dramatic or stupid.' But, then again I know Rylie better than anybody. She's one of the most determined women I know, and that fact alone is the one that is pushing me to the locker room as fast as I can, needing to get out of here in hope of catching her at her house before she leaves. If what she wants is to disappear, I know that she can and will not be found until she's ready to be.

After getting out of there as fast as I can, I get in my car and fly off in the direction of the suburban road I've grown accustomed to over the time we've been together.

Finally arriving at her house, I jump out, noticing that her car is gone but needing to check the house just to make sure. I run up to the door, thinking it's probably locked before grabbing for her spare key again, this time coming up empty handed. She took it?

"Fuck," I mumble to myself before pounding on her front door in frustration as everything hits me all at once. She's really gone..

3 weeks later...

Rylie's POV

I sit on the side of the bathtub in my newly acquired get away house, starring at the sink in front of me. I don't know how this happened..

Okay, that's not entirely true, I'm not stupid and I'm not 10, I do know how it happened, but I just can't believe that it did. Of all the times, it just had to happen now.

I really don't know what my pain emotion is as I sit motionless, in the same spot I have been for about the past 15 minutes, starring at the 3 pregnancy tests in front of me that are all reading the same thing.

"Ugh, pregnant..." I mumble to myself, rolling the idea around in my mind more than anything before getting up and heading toward the living room to call Jodi.
